Slim Down And Tone Up For Your Late Fall Wedding By Doing These Two Things

If you're having a late fall wedding, and you want to slim down a bit and look great in your wedding dress, then now is the time to start. You have plenty of time to lose a modest amount of fat and also tone up. Time is important because you don't want to wait till a week or two out and then crash diet. It's unhealthy to drastically reduce your calories, plus you won't be able to tone up in that short amount of time. You also risk getting sick for your big day. Here are two things you need to do.

Reduce Caloric Intake, But Do It Responsibly

First, find the amount of calories you need to eat in order to maintain your current weight. You can do this using a calorie calculator like the one offered by the Mayo clinic. Now, you will know the baseline you are going to work with. Choose a number of pounds of weight you want to lose per week. You should not try to lose too many because you can put your body into starvation mode, plus you can lose muscle, which you definitely don't want. You want to slim down and keep a tone body, so you want to lose weight slowly and preserve muscle. A good goal is 2lbs a week. You will need to eliminate 7000 calories per week from your total intake.

Use A Personal Trainer

In addition to cutting calories from your food intake you will want to burn calories and maintain muscle. Cardio will help to burn calories, but diet is really the most efficient way to do this. That slice of pizza will take a long time to burn off on the treadmill, so it's easier to just skip it. The main thing you will want to do is resistance training, such as weighted lunges, squats, triceps push downs, and other exercises. These won't build huge muscles (you would need to take lots of protein and workout for more than a few months to accomplish that), but what they will do is keep you toned up and looking sexy in your wedding dress.

However, most people don't know where to begin when it comes to weight training. You don't want to waste time doing exercises with the wrong form. This can lead to injury. So get a personal trainer and have them work with you. They will design a routine and show you the proper form to use.
